What Do I Actually Do On A Full Moon?

Updated: Sep 18
The full moon gets a lot of attention in witchcraft - but you don’t need an elaborate ritual every month to work with it.
If you want to connect with the full moon, here are a few simple places to start:
Reflect Look back at what has changed or grown since the new moon. What became clearer? What are you proud of? What needs your attention?
Practice gratitude Take a few minutes to acknowledge what’s going well, what you’ve learned, or what you want to celebrate.
Try divination Pull a tarot or oracle card, journal, or use your favorite form of divination to explore what the full moon may be illuminating for you.
Charge your tools If it’s part of your practice, use the full moon as a time to charge or connect with tools you work with.
And if all you do is step outside and look at the moon? That counts too.

Moon magick doesn’t have to mean performing a big ritual every month. Pay attention to the moon, explore what its phases mean to you, and create practices you’ll actually want to return to.
Your practice should fit into your life - not the other way around.
