3 Things You Already Have for a Simple Protection Spell

Updated: Sep 18
Protection magick doesn't require a collection of specialty ingredients. You probably already have everything you need somewhere in your kitchen - or junk drawer.
Here are three simple things to start with:
1. A Key Keys can symbolize protection, boundaries, security, and keeping something safe. Use an old or spare key as the focus of a protection spell for yourself or your home.

2. Salt A witchcraft staple for a reason. Salt is commonly associated with cleansing, purification, and protection, making it an easy addition to protective workings.

3. Cloves Check the spice cabinet! Cloves are commonly associated with protection and can be incorporated into spell jars, charm bags, or other protective workings.

Protection Magick Can Be Resourceful
You don't need the “perfect” ingredients. Start with your intention, learn what the things around you can represent, and make the spell your own. A key, a little salt, and a few cloves.
You probably had a spell sitting in your house the whole time.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Make your practice yours. 🔑
