Do I Have to Celebrate Every Sabbat?

Updated: Sep 15
Nope.
The Wheel of the Year includes eight seasonal festivals, or sabbats—but practicing witchcraft doesn’t mean you’re required to celebrate every single one.
You might feel deeply connected to some and barely notice others. That’s okay.
Instead of turning the Wheel of the Year into another checklist, try paying attention to what’s actually happening around you.

What is changing outside? What foods are in season? What are you harvesting, beginning, releasing, or resting from in your own life? Maybe you celebrate with a full ritual. Maybe you cook a seasonal meal, light a candle, go for a walk, decorate your altar, or spend five minutes noticing the changing season.
And maybe sometimes you do absolutely nothing.
You don't have to celebrate every turn of the Wheel to be connected to it.
Learn about the sabbats. Explore their traditions. Notice what resonates with you.
Then build seasonal practices that actually feel like yours.
